Procedures
Our oil boiler servicing procedures include:
- Visual inspection of oil storage tank
- Inspection of oil line filter and fire valves
- Examination of joints and flue pipes for leakages
- Visual examination of the flue termination
- Inspection and cleaning of heat exchanger
- Inspection and cleaning of secondary exchanger (condensing appliances only)
- Inspection of condensate discharge pipe (condensing appliances only)
- Cleaning of combustion chamber
- Cleaning of photo cell and verifying electrodes are set correctly
- Inspection of fan and motor
- Checking atomising nozzles
- Visual inspection of flexible oil lines and oil pump
- Smoke and pressure testing to identify cleanliness of combustion
- Full electronic combustion analysis check (print out included)
- Completion of the OFTEC CD/11 service report form

Guideline standard charges
We are an honest and reliable oil heating specialist service, and we offer all our clients value for money and transparency around our prices. See below for our latest guideline charges, as you can see we are one of the most competitive in the local market:
Oil boiler servicing: £90* (non-condensing boilers), £105* (condensing boilers)
Oil boiler commissioning: £150** (pressure jet appliances only)
Standard per hour charge for emergency repairs: £75 per hour for first hour, £35 per hour for subsequent hours***
Commercial and industrial oil-fired boiler and fan heater servicing: £45 per hour****
* including VAT - also includes FREE replacement of atomizing nozzles - not including parts
** including VAT - also includes all Oftec documentation and local building control works notification certificates
*** including VAT - travel time to reach you will be charged at the same rate - parts not included
